Kalambo Falls

Kalambo Falls is a waterfall found near the town of Mbala in Northern Province on the Kalambo River, which forms the border between Zambia and Tanzania. This spectacular jet of water falls in a single uninterrupted stream 221 meters down into the gorge below and then on into Lake Tanganyika.

Use the GPS link (on the right 💻 or bottom 📱) to reach the town of Mbala, but a guide will be needed to reach the falls from there.

It is abit of a drive from Mbala town on gravel Road. A four wheel drive is required especially in the Rain season. However, the breathe taking views are worth the drive and the climb!!!

It is a quiet and amazing place, but there is need to build hotels to make it easier for tourists visiting the place

A very attractive place is a border between Tanzania and Zambia. Located on Sumbawanga in Rukwa region in Tanzania. The road is rough one but in a very good condition.

It has a good historic component, and has a good hike. But the access road on the Zambian side has not yet been fully developed, you will require a 4x4 vehicle especially during the rainy season.

The place is great for camping and relaxing away from hassle and bustle. However the road leading there is HORRIBLE!
